Marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the "Isle La Motte Celebrates Our Independence" program has officially kicked off with the installation of an island-wide roadside kiosk exhibition marking our region's impact during the the Revolutionary War.

"Isle La Motte's Revolutionary Roots: An Island Driving Tour" is a self-guided tour of heritage markers exploring the period's history, surrounded by our stunning landscapes, local landmarks, and echoes of the past. Please visit https://islelamotte.us/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/ILM250-Kiosks-map.png or the large kiosk at Burying Yard Point at the island's entrance for a map of the marker locations installed around the island and learn more about Isle La Motte's role in our American story.

All locations are situated in areas where parking is available, and the text may be viewed during daylight hours.
