Island Falls Fire and Ambulance The Island Falls Fire Department and Ambulance Service is comprised of 15 firefighters serving on an on-call status. Jay Batchelder

Island Falls Ambulance Service is staffed at all times with a dedicated provider and a driver on on-call and additional members available for emergent and non-emergent transfers as available. The Fire Department responds to approximately 50 calls a year and the Ambulance Service responds to over 100 calls per year. Administration:

Last call for raffle tickets, we will be drawing Wednesday June 10 at 6pm

We have begun selling tickets for our next raffle to benefit the Island Falls Fire & Ambulance Association. Only 250 tickets are being sold and the winner will be drawn when all tickets are sold. Tickets are $10, and are available from members of the department.

Island Falls Ambulance would like to take an opportunity to pass along some more very positive news for the department. We would like to congratulate Ashley Clark on obtaining her National Registry Advanced EMT certification. She is awaiting licensure from Maine EMS and we look forward to have her back on the ambulance after a little time away while finishing up her classroom and clinical hours. This is the second person in a week to advance their license to offer a higher level of care to the citizens of Island Falls and beyond.

Early this morning, some of our providers were starting their EMS Week gaining some pretty unique and realistic training put on by mutual aid partners at Houlton Ambulance Service. All that attended learned a lot and are very appreciative of this “Low Frequency, High Risk” training. Gaining this experience in a controlled and safe manner is valuable. We thank them for this opportunity and hope we only have to use the skills learned today on the training ground.
