On September 17, the Village hosted its annual Employee Wellness Fair, providing staff with opportunities to engage in a variety of health-focused activities. Employees participated in a co****le tournament, tackled an obstacle course, attended fitness classes, and supported the community through a blood drive.

The Village is committed to fostering a healthy workplace, and this annual event connects employees with local wellness vendors and resources that support their overall health and well-being. Through initiatives like the Wellness Fair, the Village continues to encourage healthy lifestyles and a positive work environment for its employees.

We Would Like to Congratulate Debbie Naiser on Her Retirement

For the past 28 years, Debbie Naiser, affectionately known as "Ms. Debbie," has been the cornerstone of Islamorada Fire Rescue's administrative operations.

Her dedication, institutional knowledge, and unwavering commitment have helped support the department's mission and the firefighters who serve our community.

Through nearly three decades of service, Ms. Debbie has played an invaluable role in keeping the organization running smoothly behind the scenes.

On her final departure from work, Ms. Debbie received a water salute from IFR staff, a fitting send-off honoring her many years of service.

We wish her the very best as she transitions into retirement.

Selected works of art will be part of the third exhibition in Islamorada’s Art in Public Buildings series, on display from November 2026 through March 2027 in Village Hall and Founders Park.
