On behalf on my entire team I want to thank everyone for their support. Although we did not win we made a statement that a second voice is out there. We will stay involved. Further abuses in Woodbridge government. The township construction sub code official is a full time job that pays over $70,000. He has responsibility for reviewing and apporving plans as well as doing inspections. In Woodbridge inspections are done between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm. Yet the Mayor allows this township employee to also work for the City of South Amboy and Clark Township.

The Right-Choice for Woodbridge candidates question how Woodbridge residents get a full days work out of this individual. They have confirmed both other towns only do inspections during similar hours as Woodbridge.

The Right-Choice for Woodbridge will stop this abuse and require all township employees to work a full day, five days a week for the residents of Woodbridge who pay their salary. Abuses in the Tax Collector's Office and Building Department will stop under our Administration .

The Right-Choice for Woodbridge candidates challenged the McCormac administration to justify the need for a full time tax collector. At the 10/11/2011 council meeting Mayoral Candidate Christopher Struben asked why Woodbridge needs a full time tax collector at a salary of over $134,000. He also pointed out the Woodbridge Tax
Collector, Rich Lorentzen, is also the tax collector for Edison Township. A job that he does part time, one day a week. How can Edison collect their taxes with a part time tax collector and Woodbridge cannot. Struben pressured the Administration to explain why the same man cannot do the same job in Woodbridge part time.

The residents should also know the tax collector's office in Woodbridge has a total full time staff of 8 people making in excess of $400,000. That inculdes an assistant tax collector making over $59,000.

This is clear example of an administration not taking the necesary steps to save the taxpayers money. For more details on this contiuning issue go to the Woodbridge Patch.com.

To improve safety and security in Woodbridge, we propose an ordinance requiring all township businesses and any contractor seeking Township contracts to comply with E-Verify. Plus, we propose deputizing our police officers under the federal 287(g) program to support immigration officials.
