Good afternoon, Isanti!

Let's talk about a recent hot topic:
⚠️E-bikes and E-scooters⚠️

Attached are four images that will help everyone to better understand:
✅ - How they're classified
✅ - Who can ride
✅ - Requirements for riding

The basic jist:
🛴 - In all instances, riders must be at least 12 years old
🚲 - Only e-bikes are allowed on sidewalks
⚠️ - Helmets are only required for e-scooter riders under the age of 18, however, we recommend them for everyone for obvious reasons

We want to ensure the safety of all riders in the city, so please take a moment to review the attachments.

Yes we are excited for the parade as well.

Please read the signs in the downtown area. Be respectful of our amazing businesses and DO NOT PUT CHAIRS DOWNTOWN until 4:00pm

Chairs on sidewalk downtown prior to 4:00pm will be moved

Also do not place chairs unattended on other sidewalks. We have have residents that use the sidewalk during the day.

The Police Department Lobby will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday.

If you need to make a report or speak to an officer, please call the non-emergency dispatch line at (763) 689-2141 and select option 3.

City Offices Closure Notice

In recognition of Juneteenth, a designated United States Federal Holiday, the Isanti City Offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Regular business hours will resume on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.

‼️ HEADS UP ‼️

Please see the message below regarding the road closure that will occur at South Passage SE beginning on June 1.

BNSF/The Railroad has scheduled a full maintenance project at the South Passage SE crossing. Starting June 1st, the crossing will be completely closed for approximately two weeks while railroad crews replace the track planking.

Because this project is entirely operated and scheduled by the railroad, the city does not control the timeline, but we want to make sure our community is prepared! Please plan for alternate routes, expect detours, and allow extra travel time. Thank you for your patience as the railroad completes these required upgrades!

This week, Officers Glavan and Morgan got to spend some time community policing with our littlest friends at Lil Sprouts Child Care Center. They were able to talk to the kids about being a police officer, hand out some coveted IPD stickers and let the kids climb in their squad cars.

In return, the kids colored us these awesome pictures and made us a giant thank you card with their handprints on it. Special thanks to them for inviting us out!
