Summer Bridge Academy registration is now open for Wilkinson County students in grades K–12! Keep your child engaged this summer with academic support, enrichment activities, meals, and transportation provided. Program runs June 1–25, Mon–Thu, 8AM–12PM.

Here's a message from our Media Center Specialist, Mrs. Folwer.
This summer, the public libraries in Gordon and Irwinton will host exciting summer reading programs featuring fun activities, special guests, and opportunities for students to keep reading all summer long!

Registration is now open, and you can sign your student(s) up at either location. We hope to see many of our students participate and continue building their love of reading during the summer months. As a special incentive, all students (rising Pre-K-8th graders) who participate in the summer reading program will be invited to enjoy an ice cream party in August! Happy Reading!

Children ages 0–18 can receive free meals this summer through weekly meal box delivery sites and congregate breakfast/lunch locations across the county.

This registration is ONLY for students who are new to WCES. If your child currently attends PK at WCES, you do NOT need to complete the kindergarten registration form.

Today, we proudly celebrated our 5th grade students and their many accomplishments during our End-of-Year Awards Program! 🎓✨

Surrounded by family, teachers, and staff, students were recognized for their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout the school year. One of the highlights of the celebration was hearing our students perform an uplifting song that truly reflected how far they’ve come and the bright future ahead of them. 🎶❤️

As these students prepare to transition into the next phase of their educational journey, we are excited to watch them continue to grow, lead, and succeed. Congratulations, 5th graders — your future is full of endless possibilities! 💙

This morning, we celebrated the hard work, growth, and achievements of our 3rd and 4th grade students during our End-of-Year Awards Program! 🎉📚🏆

From academic accomplishments to leadership, citizenship, and perseverance, we are so proud of each student recognized today. Thank you to our teachers, families, and staff for supporting our students every step of the way throughout this school year. Special thanks to Dr. James and Ms. Watkins for your attendance and full support of our educational process!

Congratulations to all of our award recipients — your future is bright, and we can’t wait to see all that you continue to accomplish! Just a reminder parents, our official last day is Thursday, May 21, 2026, an early dismissal day.
