IVAC has served the Village of Irvington with compassionate and community-focused prehospital care for more than 6 decades. This week we wish a Happy EMS Week to our 45 volunteers and 10 per diem employees who help provide the Irvington residents with some of the best medical care available in the region.

I am honored to lead this group of talented, committed, and passionate individuals. I ask you to join me in wishing them a Happy EMS Week!

We are saddened to announce the passing of a long-time volunteer of our agency. Dr. Alison Romain, 67, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family. Alison was a treasured member of our agency and served with us for more than 2 decades. She was an EMT and also served on our board of directors in the past.

Volunteers who give their time and skills to aid the community are a rare breed and Alison was no different. We thank her for her service and honor her memory.

Please see the link attached for her obituary and information about her service.

Our agency was called to assist with a 10-75 working structure fire in the Elmsford district. Our agency responded with 9 personnel and 3 apparatus to support Elmsford FD incident command. The extremely cold weather presented a tremendous challenge for responders and displaced residents alike. We provided water, hot coffee, blankets, hot packs, and assistance with scene safety. Quick action by all fire personnel helped contain the fire and avoid spread to other apartments.

I'm Lucas Isola, Chief at Irvington Volunteer Ambulance Corps and I kindly request your donation this holiday season!

Irvington Volunteer Ambulance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit staffed primarily by volunteer EMTs and first responders who, in many cases, are your neighbors. 911 calls for medical care are up 33% 📈 this year. Combined with rising healthcare costs and uncertain federal government support, we need your generousity.
