Proud of NTC Member, Bell for selecting our region to be the home of their new factory set to construct components for the V-280 valor, the Army’s next-generation assault helicopter. Congratulations to Bell Flight, Mayor Mattie Parker, and all involved in bringing this investment to North Texas.

The factory will employ at least 520 people with an average salary of $85,000, according to the city of Fort Worth.

Congratulations to The University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson on the opening of the extraordinary O’Donnell Athenaeum, where the arts intersect with science! The Athenaeum is anchored by the Crow Museum of Asian Art allowing the museum to exhibit more of its collection to the public and serve as a dynamic gathering place for student learning.

Last week we hosted Class 2024 Emerging Leaders Opening Retreat here at HQ. Our new class were able to learn more about themselves and other colleagues in this cohort. Over the next 5 months they will be learning and discussing able what is important to North Texas and how to continue to amplify the region in their occupation within the Metroplex.

We hosted the 2024 NTX Defense Roundtable with Congressman Keith Self yesterday. Thank you to the NTX defense community and RADM (Ret). Mark Montgomery, for joining us today. We aimed to solidify and discuss policies around the defense of the country. This discussion allowed the defense community to have an open conversation with the Congressman, a sitting member of Foreign Affairs, about where the government can help our NTX defense companies ensure America's military is and will continue to be the best in the world.

This month we co-hosted the 2024 Infrastructure Summit with City of Irving, Texas. Over 325+ people brought input from their city, county, and company. We want to thank Justin Reeves, Tom Seng, Ed.D., Bud Weinstein, and Tony Bennett for being part of our Energy Independence Panel. And to Congressman Marc Veasey for joining us on Friday to share some of the federal investment coming to our region.
