Today, LTC Jade Root was a guest speaker at the Arlington Black Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Veterans Brunch alongside Arlington Mayor Jim Ross and other distinguished speakers. The event highlighted important topics focused on supporting veterans and active duty military members through medical resources, business opportunities, and community partnerships.

We would like to thank the Arlington Black Chamber of Commerce for the invitation and for hosting such a meaningful event during this Memorial Day weekend as we honor and remember those who have served our nation.

Today we gathered to honor Ms. Carol Starkey for more than 40 years of dedicated service both on active duty and in civil service.

Carol has been more than a colleague to so many of us; she’s been a trusted friend, a mentor, and a steady presence through the years. As we came together to thank her, we shared stories, shed a few tears, and laughed just as much.

Her impact reaches far beyond her years of service, and she will truly be missed. Wishing her all the best in this next chapter she’s certainly earned it.
