Introducing our Librarian of the Week series! Each week, we will feature a new Librarian who continues to work hard each and every day. This week, we are featuring Steven Roberge! Here is more about Steven:
"I was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but have lived in Orange County most of my life. My students from the Midwest have told me that I still speak with a slight accent of that region.
I have dedicated my life to sharing the biblical Jesus Christ with others - one of the reasons I moved to Utah in the 1990's as a "Professor/Missionary" to the Mormon people. They let me teach there at Southern Utah University (SUU). The Latter-day Saints are generally wonderful and kind people, by the way.
Without making this too long, I've lived in Russia for 3 summers and still speak a little Russian. I have a certain affection for Eastern Orthodox Christianity - our "forgotten brethren."
I'm happily (very happily) married with two kids. My wife is Christian, kindhearted, Chinese, and working toward her American certification as a Nurse. Some of my course titles both at SUU and CUI - Understanding Islam, Introduction to Logic, Introduction to Philosophy, World Religions, Foundations of Christian Theology, Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew, History and Literature of the New Testament."
If you see Steven around the Library, please say hello if you see him! Thank you for all you do for the Library Steven, we appreciate all you do!
