What began in 1996 with a shared vision among homebuilding industry leaders has become three decades of meaningful community impact.

With more than 125 projects completed, HomeAid Sacramento has helped create safe, stable spaces where individuals and families can find support, rebuild their lives, and move toward brighter futures.

Recently, HomeAid America CEO Scott Larson joined HomeAid Sacramento to celebrate its 30th anniversary and honor the founders, builders, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and community leaders who have made this legacy possible.

Thirty years later, the mission remains as important as ever: bringing people together to build a future without homelessness.

What does a national partnership really look like?

Sometimes, it looks like a room filled with people who have decided to get personally involved.

CEO, Scott Larson had the opportunity this week to speak with leaders from First American Title’s Homebuilder Services Division about HomeAid, our history, our impact and where we're headed. What made the conversation particularly meaningful was having several First American leaders in the room who are already serving HomeAid nationally and through affiliates across the country.

From board leadership to volunteering and corporate support, First American's relationship with HomeAid is ultimately about people choosing to use their experience, relationships and resources to serve their communities.

Thank you to Anne Law, Chris Zrepsky and Michelle Phillips for the invitation and for bringing us together and to all of the First American leaders who continue to support HomeAid's mission.

What if the key to ending homelessness starts with prevention? 🏡

For young adults facing housing instability, having the right support at the right time can make a lasting difference.

In our newest episode of Unsheltered Conversations, Nathan “Nate” Meinzer of the Utah Office of Homelessness Services joins the discussion about why early intervention matters.

Through Salt Lake County Youth Services' Milestone Transitional Living Program, young adults receive stable housing alongside resources that support education, employment, and independent living.

And the impact is meaningful: In 2025, 97% of young adults exiting Milestone were stably housed and either working or attending school.

With partners like HomeAid Utah helping create dignified spaces for these programs, communities can work together to build stronger pathways out of homelessness.

“When you're experiencing homelessness, you're surviving.”

For young adults without a stable home or reliable support system, everyday goals like going to school or finding a job can feel out of reach.

Mina Koplin of Salt Lake County Youth Services reminds us that youth homelessness isn't about a lack of ambition. It's about the challenges of building a future while trying to meet immediate needs.

Through programs like Milestone, safe housing and supportive services help young adults find stability and take meaningful steps toward independence.
