Downtown wide scavenger hunt happening now!

Plaidurday Scavenger Hunt Info 🕵🏻

There are 17 businesses in the downtown area that have Plaidurday banners hanging in them - your job is to find which banner is hanging where!

You can pick up your official entry form at Stormy Kromer on Aurora or other participating businesses!

🍁 The Scavenger Hunt begins today at 10a.

🍁 You must have your entry form turned into Stormy Kromer on Aurora by 545p OR to the Stormy Kromer table at City Square by 630p on October 2 to get in on the giveaways!

🍁 Winners will be announced and notified on October 5.

We open at 10a - so stop in and grab your sheet to get started!

Absentee ballots for Permanent Absentee Voters are headed to the post office and will be making their way to mailboxes soon!

Notice- A meeting of the Election Commission will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium. The purpose of the meeting is to appoint Election Inspectors and conduct the Public Accuracy Test of the City of Ironwood Electronic Voting Equipment for the November 3, 2026, Election.

The Downtown Ironwood Mural Festival has come to an end and we now get to enjoy the five new beautiful mural installations in our downtown. None of this would be possible without the support of our local businesses. A special thank you to Forslund’s Building Supply that provided the artists with a lift and scaffolding free of charge. Thanks to Mukavitz Heating and Cooling for providing an additional lift free of charge on very short notice. Thanks to the building owners who allowed the murals to be on their buildings and providing funding for materials. Big shout out to Travel Ironwood that provided additional funding so we could do 5 murals instead of just 4. The Ironwood Chamber of Commerce generously donated funds to help cover housing of the artists. Thanks to Carlson’s Equipment Rental out of Ashland for the discount on the lift rental and delivery. Thanks to Superior Getaways for the discounted accommodations for the artists.

Thank you to all the people that came out and supported the artists! They all mentioned how friendly and supportive the community is.

And thank you to the artists for creating so much beauty in our downtown!

Tomorrow, Tuesday September 15th, the City of Ironwood will be shutting down the Lake St. and Ayer St. intersection for ONE DAY while our Contractor repaves this intersection. The following map will be the detour route that is set up for this one-day shutdown. Thank you in advance for using the designated detour route while this work is being completed.
