We are always glad to host students at the courthouse. It’s a great opportunity for students to experience our court system in action.

We hope some of our visitors will choose to pursue a legal career in the future!!

🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳

I ended 2024 by being sworn in to begin my 2nd term by Speaker Jason Stephens. It was a special time as I reflected upon all of the changes and memories made over the past 6 years.

Serving Lawrence County has truly been an honor and a blessing. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of continuing to serve you! May God bless and keep you during 2025 and beyond!!

🇺🇸2024 is a new year full of new opportunities as several of our local elected officials begin new terms.

Each new term requires elected officials to undertake the oath of office. Administering the oath of office is both an honor and one of my favorite roles as your judge.🇺🇸

Below are a few pictures from recent ceremonies.

Happy New Year, EVERYONE! It has continued to be my honor and privilege to SERVE the people of Lawrence County during 2023 and I am looking forward to the challenge and opportunity of serving you in 2024.

🎇🎇🎇 My hope for each of you is that 2024 is filled with all of the things you love and all of the things you need. 🎇🎇🎇

As for the Court, one of our big accomplishments during 2023 was the recertification of the Re-Entry Court. We hope to see even more success with participants in the REC during 2024. Amongst other things, success in the REC translates into helping to restore dignity to individuals returning to our communities. Who doesn’t hope to have sober and law abiding neighbors with stable housing and stable jobs? It’s truly a great program for the participants, their families, and Lawrence County.

Happy 2024! May God bless and keep you.

🇺🇸Wreaths Across America is one of our favorite annual service projects. I encourage everyone in the community to participate in this wonderful tribute to our veterans.🇺🇸

🇺🇸 If you missed out on laying the wreaths with us today, you can still help us remove the wreaths on January 20th! 🇺🇸

Me and my staff visited with some famous and influential folks at St. Lawrence’s 3rd grade wax museum! The students did a wonderful job with their presentations!! We also found out that our Bailiff is the uncle of the baseball great Nolan Ryan 😉

Today is a day that reminded me of why I do what I do. Seeing lives changed and our community strengthened makes all of the blood, sweat, and tears worth it! It was also a bittersweet moment for our Re-Entry Court as we said see you later to a few of our recent graduates.

Each of the graduates remain drug free, they have legitimate employment (and are excelling) and stable housing.

These people are making the moves to better their lives and our community and I couldn’t be more proud of them! I’m also extremely thankful for our treatment team and all of the effort they put into helping people change their lives!
