On Friday, we had the privilege of recognizing excellence in election administration at our Election Excellence Recognition Dinner.

Congratulations to our winning polling locations, South Point High School and Hanging Rock, for their outstanding performance, professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to serving the voters of Lawrence County. Your dedication helped make Election Day a success, and we are proud to recognize your achievements.

A special thank you to Jordan Leatherwood, Secretary of State Liaison, for joining us and for recognizing the hard work and dedication of our election officials. We are grateful for the support and the commendations provided by the Ohio Secretary of State's Office as we continue working to conduct secure, accurate, and transparent elections.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors for donating door prizes and helping make this evening possible:
• Identity Salon and Spa
• Ironton Alive
• The Shakery: Eats & Treats
• Bill Klaiber, Realtor, Century 21 Homes and Land

Thank you to all of our poll workers, precinct officials, and election staff for your service to our community. Successful elections are built on the dedication of people willing to serve others, and we appreciate each of you.

We are proud to announce that our post-election audit has been successfully completed with 100% accuracy.

As part of Ohio’s bipartisan post-election audit process, randomly selected ballots and precincts were carefully reviewed and compared against the official tabulation results. The audit confirmed that every ballot was accurately counted and that the certified results matched exactly.

This process is an important safeguard that helps ensure transparency, accountability, and confidence in our elections. Thank you to our dedicated staff, bipartisan audit teams, and poll workers who helped carry out this important responsibility with professionalism and integrity.

Every vote matters — and this audit confirms that every vote was counted accurately.

Ohio’s post-election audit is an important step in ensuring election accuracy and public confidence. After every election, counties across Ohio conduct a bipartisan audit process to compare paper records and voting machine totals, confirming that reported results are accurate and reliable. Transparency, accountability, and verification are key parts of protecting the integrity of every vote.

Our Audit will take place on May28th at the Board Office.

Take a deep dive into how Ohio conducts its post-election audit.
