Getting Lost in the Best Way Possible! 📚✨

Have you visited our new public library yet? It is a wonderful place to escape into a book and let your imagination run wild. But don’t just take our word for it—ask our students! They had an incredible time exploring the shelves and discovering new favorites.

A huge thank you to the Irondale Library for hosting us and providing such an inspiring space for our young readers. As a community, we stand strong when we learn together! 🤝📖

💙 SHINING BRIGHT FOR AUTISM ACCEPTANCE! 💙

Wondering why the picture is so dark? 🌑 I am glad you asked!

Our gym transformed into a neon wonderland for the IMS Glow-in-the-Dark Volleyball Mini Tournament! We dimmed the lights for a very special reason: to celebrate our World of Diversity and honor Autism Acceptance Month! 🌎✨

While the room was dark, our students lit it up with glow sticks to symbolize how our unique backgrounds, different perspectives, and neurodiversity illuminate our school community. At Irondale Middle, we don't just talk about Inclusion—we live it! 🤝

It was an incredible night of:

🏐 High-energy volleyball action under the blacklights!

🧩 Celebrating the unique strengths of our students with Autism.

💡 Shining a light on what makes every Mountie special.

Thank you to everyone who came out to play, cheer, and glow. We are at our best when every single student feels seen, supported, and celebrated!

🌟 BIG WIN AT IRONDALE MIDDLE SCHOOL! 🌟

We are popping the confetti and shouting from the mountain tops for our incredible students! 🏔️✨

A massive SHOUTOUT to the Birmingham Zoo for investing in the Irondale Middle Family! 🦁🐘 Because of your generous sponsorship, we were able to award a Family 4-Pack of Zoo passes to a standout student who showed phenomenal growth in both ELA and Math on their I-Ready Diagnostics! 📚📈

Seeing our students climb higher and push themselves academically is what being a Mountie is all about. We are so grateful to have community partners like the Birmingham Zoo who help our scholars celebrate reaching the peak!

Let’s keep that momentum going, Irondale!

We are shouting from the mountain tops because our students are reaching new heights! 🏔️✨ We are bursting with pride to announce the incredible growth our scholars have shown on their iReady Diagnostics this year.

This success is a direct result of our students' diligence, hard work, and refusal to quit until they reach the peak. To our students: your commitment to your academic journey is inspiring. To our teachers and families: thank you for being the ultimate support team!

Let’s keep climbing, Irondale! The view from the top is looking better every day. 🐎📈

Mounties don't just clear the hurdles—they scale the whole mountain! 🐎🏔️

📢 HISTORY IN ACTION: IRONDALE MIDDLE TAKES THE STAGE! 📢

Our Mounties aren't just reading history books—they are living it! 🏔️✨

Irondale Middle School was incredibly honored to participate in the Freedom Riders National Monument’s day of commemoration through the "We Shall Someday" Project. This wasn't just an event; it was powerful, interactive history experience that brought life lessons to the forefront.

Throughout the day, our community was immersed in:

🎤 Powerful speeches from living Freedom Riders and their descendants.

🎭 Moving performances from the hit musical, We Shall Someday.

🧠 Interactive lessons that connected the courage of the past to the leaders of our future.

We are so proud of our students for engaging with our city’s rich heritage and learning what it truly meant to stand for change. This is how we build a brighter future—one step, one song, and one lesson at a time.

Mounties always stand tall—honoring our past to lead our future! 🐎✊🏽

They are the dedicated students who work tirelessly all year to capture, create, and keep your precious memories alive! As Cesare Pavese said, "We do not remember days, we remember moments," and our Yearbook Team makes sure those special IMS moments last forever.

💚 MOUNTIES GO GREEN FOR MENTAL HEALTH! 💚

This month, Irondale Middle School is standing strong and standing together! Our halls were filled with green as we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month, shining a bright spotlight on the importance of taking care of our minds just as much as our bodies. 🏔️✨

At IMS, we know that true strength starts from within. We wear green to:

🌱 Emphasize that mental health is a priority.

💪 Support our students in building incredible mental resilience.

🤝 Remind everyone that you are never alone on this mountain!

We are so proud of our students for showing their support and fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and strength. Taking care of your mind is a "peak" priority!

A Mountie’s mind is as strong as their spirit—climbing higher together! 🐎💚
