Recreation and Sport Business is an area of emphasis within the Leisure Studies program in the Department of Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa. The HHP Department is in the University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The 2011-12 academic year was the first that Leisure Studies students were able to declare the Rec and Sport Business area of emphasis.

The free Fall Welcome Concert on the lawn at Hancher, UI's amazing performing arts center, kicks off every school year by bringing together campus and community for a celebration. This year's concert was by international touring artist Sierra Ferrell and included a DJ set and an appearance by the Hawkeye Marching Band drumline 🖤💛🖤💛 Go Hawks!!
