We’re looking for someone dependable to join our night crew at CARE Ambulance. This is a great opportunity if you’re looking for a consistent full-time schedule and want to be part of a team where your work actually matters.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Saturday | 7 PM–7 AM

No EMT certification needed! You just need:
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Current CPR certification

🚑🚴 RAGBRAI 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 🚴🚑

What a week! RAGBRAI 2026 is officially in the books, and we couldn’t be more proud of our CARE Ambulance team!

Our crews spent the week providing medical coverage along the route, putting in long days, lots of miles, and plenty of hard work to help keep riders safe from start to finish.

A huge THANK YOU to every one of our crew members who worked RAGBRAI, as well as the crews who stayed back and kept things running at home. It takes everyone working together to make a week like this happen. ❤️

Thank you to the riders, communities, volunteers, first responders, and everyone else we had the opportunity to work alongside throughout the week.

We’re tired, we’re probably still catching up on sleep… but RAGBRAI 2026 was one for the books! 😂🚑

We are currently looking to fill two full-time positions in Iowa City.

Full-Time EMT or Paramedic
2-Week Rotation

Week 1: Sunday & Thursday | 3:00 PM–7:00 AM
Week 2: Friday & Saturday | 3:00 PM–7:00 AM

Full-Time Night Driver

Monday, Tuesday, & Saturday
7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Pay is based on certification and experience. We offer yearly raises and a supportive team environment.

Our May Clinical Day focused on two important topics that help keep our crews prepared for real world emergencies.

First, our team reviewed motor vehicle accident (MVA) scenarios and practiced safe patient extrication techniques, including removing patients from vehicles while minimizing further injury and ensuring safety.

We also reviewed heat related emergencies and heat stroke recognition and treatment. As temperatures begin to rise, it is important for EMS providers to quickly identify signs of heat illness and provide timely interventions to prevent serious complications.

Training and continuing education are essential to providing the highest level of care to our patients. Thank you to all of our crews who participated and continue to invest in their skills and professional development.

Happy EMS Week to all of our CARE Ambulance staff, as well as any former crew members who have been part of the CARE family over the years! 🚑💙

This week is all about recognizing the hard work, long hours, dedication, and compassion that EMS providers give every single day. We are thankful for every EMT, Paramedic, Dispatcher, Wheelchair Driver, Billing team member, Mechanic, and support staff member who helps keep CARE moving 24/7.

We are excited to celebrate this week with meals, gift bags, and appreciation for our crews, and we also want to thank everyone who has already dropped off treats and goodies for our staff. Your support means so much to our team.
