Both Public Hearings and the Regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026 have been cancelled. All legal notices are being republished in the Navasota Examiner and the public hearings and a special meeting will be reposted. Dates: September 28 for the budget, September 29 for the tax rate. Watch for the agendas to be posted as usual.
None of the numbers in the proposed budget or proposed tax rate have changed; the city has learned of new posting requirements and is making the date changes to follow procedure as set out in the statutes.
