EMS Week 2026 | Health, Wellness & Resilience
Behind every call is a caregiver who needs care too.
During EMS Week 2026, we’re shining a light on something just as important as the lifesaving work, we do every day: the health, wellness, and resilience of EMS professionals.
EMS providers show up—on people’s worst days, in high stress environments, often while carrying unseen physical and emotional weight. To continue providing safe compassionate care to our patients and our community, we must take care of ourselves and each other.
Self-care in EMS isn’t selfish
It means prioritizing sleep, nutrition, hydration, movement, and mental health. It means recognizing stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue early—and asking for help when needed.
Caring for each other matters
Checking in on your partner. Watching for changes in behavior. Creating a culture where it’s okay to say, “I’m not okay.” Peer support saves lives too.
Healthy providers deliver better care
When EMS professionals are supported, rested, and resilient, patients benefit. Wellness and safety go hand‑in‑hand—for providers and the people we serve.
To our EMS family: You matter. Your health matters. Your life matters.
To our community: Thank you for supporting those who answer the call—every hour, every day.
Happy EMS Week 2026
