Brewing basics for the beginner for the Holidays.
1) Start simple- buy a small batch kit using canned malt.
2) Use good water- it is the main ingredient, if you have a well, if you can enjoy drinking the water and it's conditioned you are probably ok. Make sure you use filtered water if it is coming from the city or county to get rid if the chlorination and you might need to add brewing salts to it. Use bottled Spring Water if you must.
3) Set Aside the Time- schedule 6 hours, take your time and enjoy the process of brewing with a few friends sitting with you and having a few cold brews!
4) Follow the kit directions without deviation the first few times you brew.
