📣 Teens Night Out is back! 📣

Teens Night Out is a FREE monthly event for local students in sixth through tenth grade, held on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The event features games, activities, free food, and themed experiences in a fun, welcoming, and supervised environment. Hosted in partnership with the Citrus County Education Foundation & several great community partners.

Select Teens Night Out events will be hosted in partnership with Cornerstone Baptist Church, allowing the program to expand into a new facility while continuing to offer the same great experience teens and families expect - with additional features and fun!

Small Town Saturday Night had Downtown Inverness rockin’ from start to finish! 🤘🔥 X Hale kicked off the night with an incredible performance… then Absolute Journey took the stage and brought an amazing tribute to Journey & had the crowd singing along the whole night!

🇺🇸 This morning, our community gathered in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Together, we honored the lives lost, the bravery and sacrifice of first responders, and the resilience of a nation forever changed by the events of that day.

We extend our thanks to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Inverness Fire Department, the National Association of Retired Law Enforcement Officers (NARLEO), and all those who joined us in commemorating this important anniversary.

The remembrance continues at the Valerie Theatre with a special 25th Anniversary 9/11 Exhibit featuring one of Florida’s largest collections of 9/11 memorabilia, provided by NARLEO.

Featuring one of Florida’s largest collections of 9/11 memorabilia, provided by the National Association of Retired Law Enforcement Officers (NARLEO), the exhibit brings together artifacts, photographs, and personal stories that honor the lives lost, the bravery of first responders, and the resilience of our nation.

In recognition of the 9/11 National Day of Service, the City of Inverness was proud to partner with the Nature Coast Volunteer Center to help collect new shoes and socks for children and families throughout Citrus County.

We appreciate every community member who took the time to donate and help support our local families. A special thank you to the Nature Coast Volunteer Center, participating organizations, and collection locations throughout Citrus County for helping make this effort possible.
