The Minnesota Young Republicans is a non-profit organization established to attract young people age 18-40 into the Republican Party of Minnesota and to aid the Republican Party in electing qualified candidates. The MNYRs were founded by former Minnesota Governor Harold Stassen in 1935, who was also instrumental in forming the Young Republican National Federation in the 1930's. Throughout the year

s, the MNYRs have had many distinguished current and former members who serve and have served as elected officials and RPM party leaders from Governors Harold Stassen and Arne Carlson to countless local elected officials.
