🌿 Our Community Is Grieving ~ And We're Here for One Another 🌿
Our hearts are heavy as we process the tragic loss our community has experienced. When something this painful happens, it shakes us at every level — as neighbors, as friends, and as people who care deeply about one another. There is no “right” way to feel right now. Grief, confusion, anger, numbness — all of it is human.
If you need support or simply someone to talk to, these resources are here for you:
Healing Conversations — One‑on‑one support from trained volunteers who have also experienced loss from su***de. https://afsp.org/healing-conversations
NAMI Minnesota — Education, support groups, and mental health resources for individuals and families. https://namimn.org
Our CredibleMind Site — Local, trusted tools and information to support mental well‑being. koochiching.crediblemind.com
Please take gentle care of yourselves and each other. Reaching out is a sign of strength, and healing happens when we walk through it together. 💛

Black Ice Alert! ❄️ As we transition from late winter to early spring, be extra cautious of black ice! Why is it worse now?
-Freeze-thaw cycles: Warmer days and freezing nights create perfect conditions for black ice.
-Melting snow: Adds moisture to roads that can refreeze.
-Less salt: Salt washes away, leaving roads vulnerable.

Stay safe:
-Slow down!
-Increase following distance.
-Be aware of shaded areas, bridges, and overpasses.
