Interlaken Village Police Department The Interlaken Village Police Department is located between Cayuga and Seneca Lake and serves the 60 The Chief of Police is Leon E. Captain Jeffrey L.

The Interlaken Police Department is located in the south end of Seneca County between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes. Anderson, Chief Anderson had served the Village of Interlaken as a part-time Police Officer from 1998 to 2005 and from March of 2012 to October 2012. On October 26, 2012 he was hired as the Village of Interlaken’s first full time Police Officer. In December of 2012 he was promoted to Poli

ce Sergeant and in April of 2013 he was promoted to the position of Police Chief. Prior to working for the Interlaken Police Department Chief Anderson worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department from June of 1998 to January of 2001, he then worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office from January of 2001 until October of 2012. Bond has worked for the Village of Interlaken since 1975. He is a retired Captain from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and the former Police Chief of the Village of Interlaken. On February 14,2021 Police Chief Leon Anderson Retired as Interlaken Second Police Chief. Chief Leon Anderson during his tenure , began the 21st century building of the Police Department with the help of his local Law Enforcement partners. New Rules and Regulations. standard operating procedures, body worn Cameras, new Police Vehicles and equipment. He created an internship program and gave new Police a officers a stepping stone to their future Law Enforcement careers. The Agency under Chief Anderson became a modern Police agency with better digital records management, equipment and transparency. For a small Village Agency the staff and the Agency are some of the most qualified individuals in the area. Thank you (Ret) Chief Anderson in your leadership and taking the Interlaken Police Department into the digital and technological age! Your service to this Community has been and is appreciated. On February 15,2021 “Acting” Part-Time Police Chief Kyle DiNardo was sworn in as Police Chief. Chief DiNardo will continue with the Departments growth and transparency. Congratulations to Chief Kyle DiNardo in his new role as Police Chief.

On Monday February 15, 2021 I will be honored to be a part of the next Chapter of the Interlaken Village Police Department.

I will be pinning Sgt. Kyle DiNardo with his stars as the Acting Interlaken Village Police Chief for the Interlaken Village Police Department!

Soon to be Chief Kyle DiNardo will be assisted by Lt. Jason Deal and Officer Seth Worrell! I believe I have left the Agency in a good place and I know Chief DiNardo will continue the legacy and Community Policing that myself and (Ret.) Police Jeffrey L. Bond have created for this community! Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Police Chief for the last 9 years.

Severe Weather 7-12 Inches.Village Ordinance, No Vehicle can be parked on a Public roadway in the Village of Interlaken from 2AM to 6AM, from November 1st to April 1st. Vehicles parked on the streets during severe weather will be tagged and towed at the owners expense. Vehicles parked during these months without bad weather will be ticketed.

Village of Interlaken NY, Halloween 2020 is still going on in the Village of Interlaken from 5:30pm to 8:30pm on October 31, 2020.

Village residents that would like to participate this Halloween please have your lights on. Please wear a mask and social distance.

To our Trick or Treaters please wear a mask and social distance. Parents as always please go through your children’s candy and make sure it’s not opened and or tampered with. During this Covid19 Pandemic sanitize all wrapppers and take precautions to make sure we prevent the spread!
