The green dotted lines are where the sewers will be cleaned and scoped. The red dotted lines are lines from lift stations to main sewer lines which will be cleaned and scoped. The solid red line ONLY is where the line will be having the pipe liner installed. That area will be the only one with the sewer sealed off temporarily.

Sewer Lining Work - Target Starting date & time:
06/03/2026 at 8:00am
PUBLIC NOTICE:
YOUR SEWER IS BEING REPAIRED Mayer Specialty Services LLC of Goddard, Kansas has been contracted by the City to repair damage to the sewer main that serves your area. We will be installing a structural PVC pipe liner into the existing sewer pipeline. This form of trenchless sewer rehabilitation is much quicker, safer, and is more cost effective than traditional open cut sewer replacement methods. While the work is being performed, your sanitary service will be temporarily sealed off and it will be reopened after the liner is thermoformed. This typically takes six hours from when we start lining the pipe but can be longer due to the number of
services we have to reopen on the pipe. We install multiple liners a day so your start time may vary. If in doubt, please contact the crew member below or City Hall for questions about when you can use your water.
As a result, PLEASE DO NOT flush toilets, take showers or baths, do laundry or dishes, or
operate illegal sump pumps which are connected to the sewer system on the date listed below.
If your sump pump empties on to the street, in the storm sewer or in your yard, it should be on. If you do use your water, it will fill up your service line and it has the potential of backing up into your
building. In addition, illegal connections or code violations such as drain spouts, footing tile, eave troughs, roof drains or sump pumps that are attached to the sanitary sewer system can flood your sewer
service line as well and should be closed off or rerouted immediately. In heavy rainfall, an illegal connection can cause a backup to happen quite rapidly. Other inconveniences may be traffic control to provide a safe work environment for our crew and noise from air compressors or generators. Once we begin this process, we must continue until we are finished so some night work may be required in limited situations. The portion of sewer main that services your residence or business will be worked on after.
Cover all floor drains with plastic and place a weight on the plastic. Cover toilets with plastic and close the lid on the plastic.
THE ALLEY AND/OR EASEMENT WILL NOT BE ACCESSBLE DURING THIS TIME. IF YOU REQUIRE ACCESS REGULARLY, MAKE OTHER
ARRANGEMENTS DURING THE TIME AND DATE STATED ABOVE AS ONCE SET UP THE EQUIPMENT CANNOT BE MOVED DURING THIS PROCESS.
If the trucks are in your area you may not use your water on the date and time stated above.
NOTE: It is illegal to have roof water, ground water, surface water or any other natural precipitation from any source draining into the sewer system. This includes but is not limited to: sump pumps, foundation drains, roof drains, eave troughs or area drains. These items over load the sewer treatment plants and cause unnecessary treatment of ground water costing taxpayers millions of dollars.
