Our Auto Collision students are hard at work building custom metal boxes from scratch. They started by shearing and bending sheet metal into shape, mastered their welding techniques, and are currently laying down primer. This all-encompassing project covers the entire repair process- next up, students will tackle body filler, paint, and clear coats. To top it off, the boxes will eventually be dented so students can practice full structural repair. Talk about a complete, real-world learning experience!

More than “just hair”. It’s a career!

If you’re a current 10th grader interested in hair, beauty, creativity, and working with people, we want you to come see what the Swofford Career Center Cosmetology Program has to offer!

At our Cosmetology Interest Meeting, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the program and learn what it’s really like to be a cosmetology student at Swofford.

We will discuss:
+ The path to becoming a licensed cosmetologist
+ Program requirements, structure, and topics + cost

Students interested in attending must:
+ Attend a Spartanburg School District 1 or 2 high school (Boiling Springs, Chapman, Chesnee, or Landrum).
+ Currently be in 10th grade and on track to be an 11th grader during the 2027–2028 school year.
