🚨 SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING β€” WAYNE COUNTY 🚨
The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Wayne County until midnight tonight.
Severe storms are moving southeast at approximately 40 mph.
Main hazards include:
⚠️ Damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph
⚠️ Half-dollar-size hail
⚠️ Possible tornado development
Residents should take precautions now:
Move indoors immediately and stay inside a strong building. Stay away from windows and avoid being outside during the storm.
Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Tree damage and wind damage to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings may occur.
Tornadoes can develop quickly during severe thunderstorms. If a tornado is spotted or a Tornado Warning is issued, move to a basement or a small interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
