Wayne County is hosting a preproposal conference for organizations interested in participating in the Wayne County Resilience Hub Network Program.
The Charter County of Wayne is requesting proposals from nonprofit organizations to participate in the Wayne County Resilience Hub Network Program.

The Wayne County Sustainability & Innovation Division is seeking organizations to join a network of resilience hubs supporting vulnerable communities across Wayne County. The network is designed to help build community resilience, engage residents, lead resilience initiatives, and coordinate services that enhance quality of life during emergencies and everyday conditions.

Awardees may receive up to $25,000 in grant funding to participate in facilitated community resilience trainings and develop a Community Emergency Response Plan.

🚌 Wayne County Transit Millage Information

SMART has shared an educational flyer providing an overview of transit services and countywide transportation needs in Wayne County.

SMART services include:
βœ… Local Bus Service
βœ… SMART Flex on-demand service
βœ… Paratransit service for eligible riders

Wayne County voters will decide on the transit millage on August 4, 2026. If approved, new and expanded service would be rolled out in phases based on community input.

The Veterans Memorial Service in Inkster was an excellent tribute to the brave men and women who served our country.

A special thank you to the Garden City High School ROTC for participating in the program and helping make this event meaningful for our community.

On this Memorial Day, we honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
