We’re currently caring for a few pups here at the Inkster police station. We need your help finding them new furever homes or placement.

2 Puppies
1 Boy (Grey) 1 Girl (Light Brown) Pit Mixes. Approximately 2-4 months old.
Found abandoned in a tote off of Isabelle and Cherry.

They are safe with us, but we’d love to unite them with a new family. If you are interested in adoption contact Inkster Animal Control at 313-801-8897.

Female - Pit/ terrier or Bully - Brown and light brown. Weighs about 40-50 pounds. Approximately 2-4 years old. Was brought in on 07/30/26. Will be up for adoption 08/04/26. She is friendly. Slight skittish to new people. Found on Colgate under a car trying to keep cool.

Female - Shephard Mix- Brown Black Nose. Weighs about 60-70 pounds. 3-4 years old. Was brought in on 08/27/26. Will be up for adoption 08/31/26. Found on W River Park Dr. Has been roaming for a few days. No chip. Slightly malnourished. Friendly. House and kennel trained.

🚨UPDATE: AUGUST 24 STABBING🚨

The Inkster Police Department is providing an update regarding the August 24 stabbing that occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the Dollar Tree near Cherry Hill Road and Inkster Road.

Officers located a 63-year-old female victim, identified as Phyllis Robinson, suffering from serious injuries. She remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Our thoughts remain with Ms. Robinson and her family.

Officers took 22-year-old Inkster resident Stephen Ross into custody. Ross has been formally charged with:

• Assault with Intent to Murder
• Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder
• Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)

Ross is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.

The Inkster Police Department remains committed to a thorough investigation and respecting the judicial process.
