Inglewood came together for Family Unity Day
On Saturday, Darby Park was filled with family, fun and community as residents gathered for Inglewood Family Unity Day.

From live music and free food to field-day games, family activities and community resources, the day was all about connecting with neighbors and celebrating what makes Inglewood special.

Thank you to Councilwoman Gloria D. Gray and everyone who came out and helped make the day a celebration of community, connection and Inglewood pride.

ITC Phase1 construction is starting this fall!

In the coming weeks, you'll hear all about the upcoming ITC Phase 1 construction – from mobility hubs to Market Street improvements.

You’ll hear about transformative changes coming to Market Street and Downtown:
-Streetscape Improvements along Market, Manchester and Queen
-Pedestrian Access via a new pedestrian bridge to/from the Downtown Inglewood Metro Station
-1000 new parking stalls
-Improved lighting

Partnering for a Better Inglewood

This week, the Inglewood City Council approved the Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) Partnership.

What does it actually mean for Inglewood?

The DBFOM Partnership is how the City will work with a private partner to build the ITC Phase 1 Mobility Hubs and streetscape improvements — and keep them running and maintained once they’re built.

For Inglewood, it means better connections, upgraded streets and public spaces, and local jobs and business opportunities.

Construction is grant funded, with $0 from the City’s General Fund and no new tax.

That’s DBFOM. A partnership to get Phase 1 built and keep it working for Inglewood.

Today, the Inglewood City Council approved the partnership that will deliver ITC Phase 1.

The vote moves forward a vision shaped by years of community input, study and planning. Inglewood residents and businesses helped define what matters — strengthening historic Downtown, improving connections across the City and making every day travel easier.

Inglewood District 1 came together for a Community Meeting with Councilwoman Gloria D. Gray on August 20.

Residents heard community updates, connected with City staff and had the opportunity to ask questions about issues that matter to their neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Regent Plaza Senior Center Coffee & Doughnuts Community Update on August 13 and Councilman Alex Padilla’s District 2 Picnic & Chili Cook-Off at North Park on August 15.

The Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC) team enjoyed connecting with community members, answering questions, and sharing updates on the ITC Phase 1 Mobility Hubs and proposed upcoming construction.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to stop by, learn more, and stay engaged as the ITC moves forward.

You'll hear about Multimodal Connectivity and how it will improve access across the Inglewood community:

· Mobility hubs designed to reduce congestion with improved transit, rideshare, bikes, and pedestrian walkways

· Traffic signal synchronization with bus lanes, giving buses priority

· Bus Lanes and Shuttle Program serving events and improved everyday shuttle circulation

· Purchasing more buses, including paratransit buses
