Today our club heard from fellow Rotarian, Lisa Valerio. She spoke to our club about the Fenixia Foundation and the great things they are doing in our community and in the Philippines. The Fenixia Foundation is dedicated to helping special needs children, adults, and their families thrive. Their goal is to continue bringing diagnostics, resources, and interventions to communities all over the world in order to improve the lives of those with special needs. This morning at Indio Sunrise Rotary, we had the privilege of hearing from our fellow Rotarian, Indio Police Department Chief Brian Tully. He shared the department’s vision for the future, emphasizing how their mission, vision, and values guide everything they do.

With a mindset of “Be Better”, the Indio PD fosters a culture of continuous learning—whether through traditional education or social learning—and encourages every team member to “Be a leader where you are at.” By holding each other to the highest standard, they are committed to serving our community with excellence.
