Say hello to Aaron, a Vector Control Technician I who plays a vital role in keeping our community safe! Every day, Aaron is out in the field inspecting potential sites to ensure you and your family have peace of mind.
One of the biggest myths Aaron encounters is that it takes a massive pool of water to breed mosquitoes. The reality? Invasive mosquitoes like Aedes aegypti only need a tiny bottle cap worth of water to lay eggs.

Is there a green pool in your neighborhood?
A single neglected pool can produce thousands of mosquitoes every week, affecting everyone on the block.
We’re here to help keep our community safe and mosquito free! If you see a pool that isn’t being treated or circulated, report it at 760-342-8287

There is something so satisfying about protecting the community. Whether it’s field samples or lab counts, we’re out here making sure your backyard stays yours.
But we can’t be everywhere! Do your part to keep the peace:
DUMP any standing water.
Empty those flower pots, birdbaths, and pet bowls.
DRAIN containers after the rain.
Don’t let old tires or gutters become a nursery.
Let’s keep the valley safe and the buzz away.

Swipe through for a quick refresher on how to handle rodent prevention and cleanup with confidence.
The Facts for Californians:
• Low Risk: While news often covers global updates, the risk of Andes Hantavirus here in California remains extremely low.
• Knowledge is Power: Understanding how the virus spreads, primarily through breathing in dust from disturbed nesting materials.
• Focus on Prevention: The most effective protection is simply keeping deer mice out of homes, sheds, and vehicles.
