The Village of Indiantown is updating its Comprehensive Plan via the Evaluation and Appraisal Review (EAR) process. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range planning document that provides a clear path of how the Village will grow and develop over time.

State law requires local governments to review their plan at least one time every seven years to ensure it is consistent with current Florida laws. The Village of Indiantown was incorporated December 31, 2017. The Village adopted its Inaugural Comprehensive Plan on December 12, 2019. The Village reviewed its plan in July 2025 and determined there are changes to Florida law that prompt the Village’s Comprehensive Plan to be updated for consistency and to reflect current conditions.

Public Participation and Draft Plan: The consultant facilitated two Public Workshops in October and November 2025 for public participation in the drafting process. The draft plan is now complete, and the Village intends to transmit the plan update in May 2026.

Joint Workshop and Public Hearings: An important component of the adoption process is the public review and comment period. To that end, the Village is planning an optional joint workshop with the Village Council and Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board (PZAB) as well as State mandated advertised public hearings.

The Joint Workshop will be on, Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Elisabeth Lahti Library Community Room located at 15200 E. Thelma Waters Avenue, Indiantown.

The PZAB Public Hearing will be on, Thursday May 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., located at the Bob Souza Center located at 15655 SW Osceola Street.

The Village Council Public Hearing will be on, Thursday May 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., also at the Bob Souza Center located at 15655 SW Osceola Street.
