WATER MAIN BREAK!
IMU are working on a watermain break on W 1st between G St and F St. There will be several homes in that area with low pressure and intermittently without water while repairs are being made.

Low pressure area may including some on Salem St. to the Hwy.

The successful bidder must pay IMU by September 24, 2026. Payment can be in the form of cash or
cashier’s check that’s issued directly to Indianola Municipal Utilities.
IMU has the right to reject any and all bids.

At last night's city council meeting, Indianola Mayor Steve Richardson issued a proclamation making the week of August 23-29, 2026 "Water and Wastewater Workers Week" please join us in celebrating the IMU and City of Indianola, Iowa - Government staff that work hard to make our community better.

In presenting this Mayor Richardson, pointed out that IMU's water has an undetectable amount of nitrates (some may call this zero), and the City's waste water treatment plant is among the most advanced in the state.
