🚨 IMPORTANT PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: COUNTYWIDE BURN BAN 🚨
The Pittsburg County Commissioners have officially approved a 7-day countywide burn ban, effective immediately through September 21, 2026.

Incident No. 26 Sept 6, 2026
Updated: Paged out at 2031 to assist Canadian with a head-on collision past the Canadian exit on Highway 69 North, which resulted in two fatalities. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and with all the first responders on scene.
We provided traffic control.
Cleared at 2230. Engine 3 responded with 4 personnel.
Also assisting Canadian were Crowder & Sam's Point.

Incident No 24. September 4th. We were paged out at 23:23 to West Lakeshore Drive for someone burning a mattress. Engine 3 responded.
Please remember in these conditions, fire or sparks can spread quickly.
There is also the possibility of a $500 fine.

🚨 PLEASE DO NOT BURN! 🚨

We have already had to extinguish a brush pile that someone was burning.
With the current dry conditions, please do not burn brush, trash, or anything else. Fires can quickly get out of control and put homes, property, and lives at risk.
