Some of the most meaningful impact can't be measured in numbers.

Hearing from Adelle about how the Cultural Trail's expansion has helped the Riverside Neighborhood residents experience downtown reminds us why this work matters.

How do you describe the Cultural Trail in one word?

We asked our supporters, and their answers tell a story. A place that's inspiring, vibrant, welcoming, connected, and uniquely Indianapolis.

From up here, it looks like a ribbon winding through the city. Down on the ground, it's morning walks, bike rides to dinner, chance encounters, community gatherings, and moments of quiet in the middle of a busy day.

Every day, thousands of residents and visitors make the Cultural Trail part of their story. What word would you use? Let us know in the comments ⬇️

Twenty years ago, the Cultural Trail was a bold, nearly impossible idea, that would not have been possible with out the support from the City of Indianapolis to give a lane of traffic back to pedestrians.

Today, the neighborhoods surrounding the Trail continue to grow, businesses continue to invest, and more people are choosing to live, work, and spend time downtown.

As the nonprofit steward of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, we are honored to steward a beloved public space that continues to create value for Indianapolis every day.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick began with a belief that Indianapolis could be more connected, more vibrant, and more accessible. Twenty years later, the results speak for themselves.

Last week we kicked off a year of celebrating the 20th anniversary since the groundbreaking of the Cultural Trail with the visionaries, advocates, donors, and community members who helped make it possible.

What happens when we invest in world-class public spaces? ⬇️

Twenty years after the groundbreaking of the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick, the answer is clear:

✔️ $3 billion in assessed property value created along the Trail
✔️ Population growth 5x the city average
✔️ Millions of bike rides, connections, and memories made along the way

Today, we're kicking off our 20th anniversary celebrations with a new impact report that tells the story of what the Trail has meant for Indianapolis.
