We’re heading into a long weekend, Tigers! 🎉 Here’s an important reminder about our upcoming school schedule:

🇺🇸 MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 — LABOR DAY
Charles Warren Fairbanks School 105 will be CLOSED in observance of Labor Day. We hope our families enjoy the holiday, get some rest, and spend quality time together!

📚 TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8 — STAFF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY
There will be NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS on Tuesday. Our Fairbanks staff will be participating in professional development focused on learning, collaboration, and strengthening the work we do to support our students and school community.

🐯💙 SEPTEMBER ASSEMBLY = A HUGE SUCCESS! 💙🐯

We just wrapped up our September All-School Assembly at Charles Warren Fairbanks #105, and WOW! 🎉🔥

There was dancing 💃🏾🕺🏾, laughter 😂, fun 🎉, joy 😁, school spirit 📣, and LOTS of positive energy! Our Tigers showed up and showed OUT! 🐯👏🏾

📚✨ This Month’s Pillar: ORDER!
We talked about what ORDER looks like at school—following routines, being prepared, taking care of our building, keeping our spaces organized, and helping create an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and feel safe and respected. 💙
And of course… we had plenty to CELEBRATE! 🏆🎉

At Fairbanks, we believe that parents and families play an essential role in their child’s education. This evening is an opportunity for us to come together, learn more about Title I, discuss important topics that impact our students, and—most importantly—hear from YOU!

During Title I Night, families will:
📖 Learn more about Title I and how it supports our students
🏫 Discuss topics connected to your child’s education and our school
💬 Share your thoughts, questions, and feedback
🤝 Learn how families and the school can work together as partners
❤️ Help us strengthen the connection between home and school

💉 VACCINE CLINIC COMING TO FAIRBANKS ELEMENTARY! 💉

Charles Warren Fairbanks Elementary School #105 is hosting a Vaccine Clinic for our students and families! 🐯💙

📅 Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
📍 Location: Charles Warren Fairbanks Elementary School #105
📌 Address: 8620 Monterey Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46226

💰 NO HEALTH INSURANCE?
Vaccines will be $10 per vaccine for families without health insurance. Payment will be made on the day of the clinic when you receive the vaccine.

📋 WHAT FAMILIES NEED TO KNOW:
• Families must communicate that they are interested in order for the clinic staff to come to our school.
• We need at least 15 people interested in order for the clinic to take place.
• Families have until September 30 to let us know they are interested.
• Consent forms are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
• Please complete the consent form and bring it with you on the day of the clinic(contact school to receive the form).
• Students who are missing required immunizations were sent home with an envelope on Friday 08/28 identifying the vaccines they are missing. Please check your child's envelope so you have an idea of which vaccines are needed and the potential cost.

If your child needs vaccinations, please take advantage of this convenient opportunity to receive them right here at school.

For the mother and daughter, teaching in the same building is something neither imagined would happen. Today, they wouldn't have it any other way.

Mother and daughter Jennifer and Morgan Devine share a unique bond teaching at IPS School 105, inspiring students while strengthening their relationship through their shared passion for education.

🐯 TIGERS, WE ARE OFFICIALLY READY TO ROAR! 🐯

What better way to kick off the 2026–27 school year than with our very first All-School Assembly! 🎉

Our Tigers came together to learn, celebrate, and get excited about what’s ahead. We talked about our school expectations, exciting incentives, monthly recognitions for deserving students and classrooms, and why being at school every day matters. 📚✨

We also took a closer look at our schoolwide ROARS expectations; Respect, Order, Acceptance, Responsibility, and Safety, and spent some special time diving into our first pillar: RESPECT. We talked about what respect looks like, sounds like, and feels like throughout our school community. ❤️

And this was just the beginning! 🙌🏽 Our All-School Assemblies will happen once every month, giving us opportunities to reinforce expectations, celebrate our Tigers, recognize outstanding students and classrooms, and keep building a school culture where everyone belongs, everyone matters, and everyone can ROAR!
