The decision made by the IPS administration to pull back on unified enrollment is truly disappointing. This move is bad for families, who have been able to fill out one application for nearly a decade in order to navigate our city’s public-school offerings. This move will make things harder on parents and inject confusion and instability into the system – all while parents have been calling form more collaboration between IPS and public charter schools. It is our hope that IPS leaders are open to reconsidering this move given its negative impacts on students and families.
