Going hard in the paint. 🏀🎨
Last summer, Kierra Gray of Free Mind Creations helped transform Al Polin Park basketball court into a bold and vibrant space built for connection, creativity, movement, and community.

As part of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Host Committee’s Legacy Projects, The Parks Alliance of Indianapolis received funding to renovate the basketball court at Al Polin Park. Upgrades included new asphalt, custom artwork featuring the WNBA 3-point line, and brand-new goals, rims, and backboards — completely transforming the space into a vibrant destination for the community.
🛝 Oh, and the playground is finished now too.
Indy Parks and Recreation is filled with places waiting to be rediscovered, and this court is just one example of what’s possible when artists, organizations, neighbors, and community partners come together to invest in public spaces.
Connection lives in parks.
