Domestic violence can manifest in a number of ways, and there’s usually more than one tactic being used in an abusive relationship. Regardless of the coercive behavior(s) used, it always comes back to power and control over the victim.

Why Forgiveness?

Nothing can change something that happened in the past. Nothing can change how it affected you then, or that it is still affecting you all this time later.

Illnesses such as cancer, as well as mental and physical traumas can all result from unforgiveness. Scientists, researchers and doctors agree that unresolved emotional challenges play a significant role in all aspects of our health and well-being.

Those that take the time to forgive both others and themselves see a significant improvement in their overall physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Forgiveness can change victim perspective to self-compassion.

Forgiveness can free you of unwanted limitations that have plagued you for years.

Forgiveness can change fear to self-confidence and determination.

Forgiveness can change anger to compassion.
