The Indy Center for Conflict Resolution (ICCR) is a vital part of the public-private collaborative efforts led by the Indy Public Safety Foundation to reduce violence in Marion County. This neutral mediation service offers an array of benefits, including saving time and money, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering cooperation.

With free training sessions and community mediation services, their goal is simple: stronger relationships, safer neighborhoods, and fewer conflicts that turn into violence. Find out more at www.indypsf.org/iccr.

🌡️ It’s going to be hot, Indy!

As temperatures rise, remember to:
💧 STAY hydrated
☀️ AVOID strenuous outdoor activities
❄️ TAKE breaks in air-conditioned spaces

It’s important not to forget our unhoused neighbors during the summer months. A small act of kindness and compassion can make a big difference.

If you see someone outside who appears to be in distress due to the heat, call 911 immediately.

Know the signs of heat stroke and help keep our community safe this summer. Stay aware, stay prepared, and look out for one another. ❤️

That’s a wrap! Thank you, Indianapolis, for a great Mental Health Awareness Month. We’re looking forward to continuing to provide neighbors with the tools they need to create a caring, healthier city, alongside our great partners in mental health! Remember, you are not alone.

🏠📚 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tenant Education Event Last week! This informative session brought community members together to learn more about renters' rights, lease responsibilities, and the resources available to help Indianapolis residents navigate housing challenges.

Attendees heard from Indiana Legal Services, Inc. on important topics ranging from understanding a lease before signing to knowing your rights and responsibilities throughout the rental process. We were also grateful to have Dr. Shellye Suttles from our Division of Community Nutrition and Food Policy share important updates regarding upcoming SNAP changes that may impact recipients this July.

Thank you to all who attended and our partners who helped make this event possible!

🧠💚 Mental health crises require the right response at the right time.

There’s a common misconception that calling for the Clinician-Led Community Response (CLCR) means law enforcement will automatically respond. That’s a myth.

CLCR is a non-law enforcement response team made up of licensed clinicians and peer specialists trained in de-escalation and crisis intervention. For situations involving an immediate threat to life or the presence of weapons, IMPD’s Mobile Crisis Assistance Team (MCAT) may be dispatched instead.

When you call 911, trained dispatchers assess the situation and determine the most appropriate response. Community members may also request either team based on their needs.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available. Learn more at indy.gov/CLCR.
