We wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who attended our Bike & Brew fundraiser last Sunday, and to everyone who donated but wasn't able to attend.

Thanks to you, we CRUSHED our goal, raising $1,475—almost 50 percent more than our original $1,000 goal.

We will use all of these funds to buy groceries at this year's Cranksgiving, which we also encourage all of you to join us for. Stay tuned for more info.

Hi friends! Our annual Bike & Brew fundraiser is coming up soon, so if you are interested in attending and haven't yet either:

1) Signed up on our website: https://indymetrorotary.org/cranksgiving/, or
2) Indicated this interest here on FB,

Please do that so we can gauge how many people we're expecting to have. We don't want to overwhelm the breweries we're visiting.

This will be a fun, casual ride suitable for most experience levels. You *do* have to know how to ride a bike, but if you'd like to drive the route and meet us, that's fair! A Rotary member will be driving the route and will be available if you get a flat, need a lift, or for some reason are having trouble making it from stop to stop.

And we will have bike and brew trivia again—with prizes for answering correctly—so bring your thinking caps.

What you're seeing here are carseats in a hallway at Exodus Refugee Immigration, where they have been sitting for two months, since the federal government canceled all refugee resettlement activities.

These carseats were set aside for *specific refugee children* scheduled to enter the United States to start their new lives. Exodus has been storing them with the hope that they can soon go to their intended recipients, though there is no word on whether that will happen.

Exodus IS still able to serve refugee families already in the United States, and we were so proud to help them out during our April volunteer event, which we spent sorting clothes and household goods in their warehouse. Hoosiers have been generous and the warehouse was packed.

What Exodus really needs now is cash, as they are facing staffing cuts following the federal funding cuts. Every member of our club is giving $10 to cap off our volunteer event—will you join us? https://www.exodusrefugee.org/donate/

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for last weekend! Together, Indy Metro Rotary riders bought $1,008.06 worth of groceries to support near-Westside students facing food insecurity during the holidays!

🌿 CANCELED: Due to Tuesday's elevated heat index, the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick has canceled Landscaping & Lagers, which was our scheduled volunteer event for August.
