The City of Greenwood was awarded over $8.4 million in federal transportation funding through the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Smith Valley Road Expansion Project.

This investment will widen the road, ease congestion, improve safety, and modernize infrastructure along one of Greenwood’s most heavily traveled corridors.

Out of 58 applications requesting funding across Indiana, Greenwood Staff secured one of the region’s major project awards.

It is Bike to work week! We are joining our friends from Central Indiana Cycling Indiana Cycling and Central Indiana Regional Transportation Authority - CIRTA for 3 Bike to work week pop-ups. Today we were at W Michigan St and the White River. Catch us on the 13th 7am-9am for free coffee and breakfast at E Michigan St and Highland Ave, or Friday 4pm-6pm at Half Liter on the Monon Trail.

This Sunday 5/3, join us to kick off Bike Month and celebrate all things cycling in our city!🚲

We’re combining our love for Indy, adventure, live music and community together to celebrate Bike Month. Expect multiple cycling vendors available to answer your cycling questions, along with cycling focused speakers, giveaways, live music, craft beer, coffee & food!

Plus, Bike Fest is included in the TrailMixer!

🗓️Schedule 5/3:
11 am: Bike Fest Social Ride starting in front of The Coffee Haus at Guggman (sold out- registration required).
1 - 3 pm: Vendors in the Festhall
1:30 - 2pm: Speakers
2 - 4pm: Live Music in the Beer Garden with Rainbow Glacier

Free, family-friendly and open to everyone!

Thurs, Apr 30 - Indiana Pacers Bikeshare and Indianapolis Cultural Trail: Birthday Party and Ride. Gather at 5:00 pm, short social ride at 5:30 pm, and the porch party starts at 6:30 pm. Central IN Cycling will be there with free bike lights and the NEW 2026 Indy Bike Guide Map. Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization sponsored the lights, and will be there to help with the bike light installation.
