Love Locker Project - Irvington Community

Unfortunately, our love locker is going to be temporarily closed until further notice. Due to vandalism to the shed and continuous stealing of items that help keep the locker stocked, the decision has been made to lock it up for the time being. I am hoping that this closure is a message that to have an amazing resource in our community we have to respect it as well. Sorry for any inconvenience to those that this may affect. Yesterday we were able to restock the locker! Boy toddler and women’s clothing, cooling towels, bucket hats, baseball hats, sunscreen, and lots of flip flops. Come check us out!

We've been adding some fun spring items to our locker this week, including a variety of clothes to match this spring weather, ponchos, umbrellas, and bug spray. Come check us out!

Spring break is over and we have a nice fully stocked locker! Come check out all the spring items we have available :)

We've had some issues with individuals taking a few of our bins to help them carry the items they are taking. I have now stocked the locker with grocery bags in hopes that you can utilize these to hold your items versus taking our bins. Our bins help me to provide more items in the locker. So, please do not take these and instead take a bag!

From March 16th to March 24th, the locker will NOT be restocked due to spring break and being out of town. I will be stocking up the locker on Friday, March 15th to ensure that there are plenty of items to go around during those two weeks. I will restock again on Monday, March 25th. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Today was restock day!! We were able to stock up with some new blankets, towel sets, underwear, scarves, hygiene kits, light jackets, sweaters, and a few pairs of shoes.

ICS Is happy to announce a new resource for the Irvington Community. Have you seen or heard of the Free Libraries that are around town? Love Locker is a similar concept, but for clothing. People will have 24/7 access to the items that are in our Love Locker. We will adjust what is in the locker depending on the season. Our locker is located at Irvington Middle School along N Arlington. We would love for you to follow our page for more information at Love Locker Project - Irvington Community. We have only been open one week and we can tell that you all love the locker as much as we do! We are happy to share that we have restocked the locker with more coats, light sweaters, underwear, bras, socks, scarves, blankets, and a few shoes. Come check it out!

Irvington Community Schools is happy to announce the official opening of the Love Locker Project. This is a wonderful new resource for the Irvington and East Side community. This is something that originated in Michigan from a lovely lady who wanted to help those in her community battling the winter. After reading her story in a news article and speaking with her personally, I felt as if this would be perfect to bring to our community.

Have you seen or heard of the Free Libraries that are around town? Love Locker is like that but for clothes. People will have 24/7 access to the items that are in our Love Locker. We will adjust what is in the locker depending on the season. Currently, we have coats, light jackets, socks, scarves, hats, underwear, and boots.

This Love Locker is located at Irvington Community Middle School along N Arlington Ave. We hope that you come check it out, tell someone else to come visit, or just continue to spread the word about this amazing new resource!
