We want Mitch Daniels, Becky Skillman, Brian Bosma, David Long, and their colleagues in the Indiana Statehouse to STAND FIRM! We believe that Indiana voters knew EXACTLY what they were voting for: RESPONSIBLE LEADERS who would tackle the TOUGH problems and firmly put Indiana on the road to recovery for generations to come. We believe that Indiana voters are ready for the ADULT and REALITY-BASED
discussions and decisions. We support elected officials who stand up and DO THEIR JOBS instead of those who run away from reality and conflict - including many of the problems they created when they were in the majority. We believe that it is undemocratic and cowardly to FLEE the state to avoid doing your job as defined by our STATE CONSTITUTION. We believe that those who FLEE and REFUSE to do the job they were elected to do have no business issuing demands. Especially from a hotel lobby...
We believe that ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES - and that in the last election the people of Indiana spoke quite clearly about out of control budgets, school reforms, how to create jobs, government reform, and returning our state to GREATNESS - and who they TRUSTED to do that work. We believe that OUR state legislature and the business of Indiana can not be held hostage by Democratic cowards who run, or by their allies (especially paid union protesters) who stay behind to BULLY AND INTIMIDATE those who are doing the job we elected them to do. We agree with FDR that public employee unions are unconscionable and irresponsible, and that it is un-American and UNDIGNIFIED to force ANY employee to join a union and pay dues as a requirement of employment. We suggest that you look no further than the automotive industry in Indiana to see the DESTRUCTIVE NATURE of unions and their anti-business and counterproductive agenda. We know that Richard Trumka is NO L**h Walesa. We believe that Indiana taxpayers have HAD ENOUGH and want leaders who will fight back against unions and their allies who are NOT interested in responsible government, selfless decision-making, and public policy that serves EVERYONE instead of just their own special interests. But we know that teachers unions DO NOT REPRESENT the best and most effective teachers, best practices and real reform, or the future of education. They are DESPERATELY fighting for their own power and money instead of the children of Indiana! And that is DISGRACEFUL! Finally, we know that Organizing For America (the Obama campaign committee), MoveOn.org, and other radical groups will use ANY MEANS NECESSARY to fundamentally change America; and this is the moment in our history where WE MUST STOP those who wish to destroy this great country and our great state. (Oh, and not to be rude, but.... we also hope that at least one of the DEMOCRATIC REFUGEES - who shall remain nameless - remembered to pack his spare hair.)
