Help us congratulate Mr. Swanson on 41 years of dedicated service, which 19 of those were as a Program Analyst! 🎉

​Mr. Swanson has been a cornerstone of the Pay Management Division and the U.S. Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-8 community. Throughout his distinguished career, he has been a tireless advocate for the 'Properly Paid Soldier,' understanding that financial stability is a primary driver for retention and mission readiness.

​Known for his deep technical expertise in USAR Pam 37-1 and Army pay systems, Mr. Swanson has mentored countless Soldiers and Civilians. He expertly guided the team through complex transitions—from the sunsetting of legacy systems like RLAS to the modernization of IPPS-A. His legacy is defined not just by the accuracy of the ledgers he managed, but by the culture of operational excellence and integrity he leaves behind.

​During his recognition, Mr. Walter Riley commended Mr. Swanson for his dedicated leadership and professionalism at USARC G-8 from 2007 to 2026, highlighting the core mission: 'Twice the Citizen, Combat Readiness.'

​Additionally, MSG. Miller presented Mr. Swanson with a personal gift featuring the work of one of his favorite artists, a recognition plaque that stated 'We the People.'

Leadership engagement at its best! During the recent USARC G-8 Workshop, command leaders visited the Reserve Pay Workshop (RPW) to speak directly with our students. They highlighted the vital role of the Pay Management Division, stating, 'PMD is doing an outstanding job by training pay personnel for the Army Reserve.' The Pay Management Division had an outstanding week conducting Class 002.

It was a highly collaborative environment where we learned from one another while ensuring strict adherence to current policies and regulations.

Utilizing the 'train-the-trainer' concept proved to be a rigorous and effective method for exchanging critical information between field units ARA's and higher echelons.

The U.S. Army Reserve Command G-8 Pay Management Division (PMD) sends a sincere thank you to the 9th Mission Support Command for their outstanding support during our recent visit.

​Thanks to your hospitality and logistical assistance, our team successfully conducted the Reserve Pay Workshop (RPW) and the Reserve Pay Consolidated Course (RPCC).

These training events are critical into maintaining financial readiness across the force, and we could not have done it without the 'Pride of the Pacific.'

It was a great week here at the U.S. Army Reserve Command G-8 Pay Management Division (PMD). We were honored to host a leadership visit from Col. Edward L. Freeman (Director, USARC G-8), Col. Hamilton (OCAR G-8), and Sgt. Maj. Marc Chiste (USARC G-8 / DRIM SGM). They took the time to meet with the staff and recognize the following individuals for their excellence:
