Zionsville-based life sciences company GeniPhys Inc. has developed a material known as Collymer, a highly-purified form of collagen that is used to support tissue generation and recently completed a $6 million Series A round of investment funding.
The funding round included participation from Pier 70 Ventures, as well as Indianapolis-based Elevate Ventures and multiple individual investors.

FedEx plans to consolidate its Los Angeles-based maintenance operations into its Indianapolis International Airport Hub facilities. The plans create the opportunity for cost savings by combining resources at the Indianapolis hub starting in 2024.

Carmel-based healthcare technology startup Blue Agilis has secured a $2.5 million round of seed funding from one of the nation’s largest healthcare payers.

Launched in January 2021, Blue Agilis' software platform helps healthcare providers implement the latest medical research into their practice, with the goal of delivering better outcomes and controlling healthcare costs.

A medical partnership involving some of Indiana’s universities received nearly $38 million to continue taking laboratory and clinical discoveries and translating them into patient treatments.
The grant funds the institute for the next seven years and includes Indiana University, Purdue University, and the University of Notre Dame.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation announced a partnership with Independent Colleges of Indiana to distribute $3 million to increase the recruitment and retention of graduates in critical industries, including engineering and nursing graduates at 29 public and private institutions across Indiana.

A program offered by the IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at IUPUI is working to involve more young girls--especially those of color--in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

With the award of a $2.6 million grant from the Indiana Department of Education, the program will work to create interest among younger students and those of color in partnership with the TechPoint Foundation for Youth and Eastern Star Church’s ROCK Community Center for Children & Youth.
