Hope for Teens was started by a saved lady by the name of Betty Barker who asked a friend Teresa Berryhill to help with the ministry of providing services to homeless teens. We started off volunteering 6 years old with Outreach, Inc. and could see first hand the teens that were on the streets and in need of food, clothing, personal items, and social services. Our ministry, Hope for Teens Resource
Center started off collecting clothes and buying personal items as needed for the homeless teens. Teresa and I did a fundraisers to provide the teens with what ever was needed from the list of items provide by Outreach, Inc. We started a committee and worked on our paperwork to get the ministry off and running, however, we ran into financial problems when it came time to file our 501C3 paperwork. So I decided to go to college, get a degree and maybe network with people in the non-profit business that would help me get started. For now, I bring light to organizations that are helping the homeless population through posting this page. I am in college, I am volunteering with Outreach. Outreach, Inc, is a faith based non-profit organiztion in Indianapolis, that reaches out to homeless young men and women (ages 14-24) with the compassion of Jesus Christ. Their goal is to equip and empower these young people to achieve stability and life transformation. I love being a servant, Betty Barker
