The Lugar Series

The Lugar Series Each year up to twenty outstanding Republican women are selected for the program through a competitive selection process.

We are a political leadership development program designed for fast tracking and mainstreaming outstanding Hoosier women into elected and appointed governmental and political positions. Members of each class have diverse personal and professional life experiences and represent women of all ages and from every corner of Indiana. Women who have demonstrated extensive leadership skills in the workpla

ce or in community service and who are committed to the full participation of women in politics and government are encouraged to apply. While some graduates of the Lugar Series pursue full-time public sector employment, others are interested in serving on policy boards and commissions or running for public office. Whatever a participant’s interest, the Lugar Series serves as a springboard to new levels of personal achievement and public involvement.

DC TRIP DAYS 3 & 4 ⭐️

The Class of 2025-2026 spent Wednesday, 5/13, at the White House for National Day, joining programs from Arizona, Illinois, Kansas and Pennsylvania. The class then met with members of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) for briefings, and wrapped up the evening with a rainy (but memorable) monument tour.

On Thursday, the class concluded their trip with a tour of the White House, a meeting with Congressman Shreve and a visit to Old Town Alexandria before heading home.

Thank you to all who made this year’s trip a success!
