On June 6-7, Hoosier residents can fish Indiana public waters without a fishing license or trout/salmon stamp. Children 17 and under are always free.

If you already have a fishing license, take someone else out and introduce them to the hobby! 🎣

This four‑day program provides foundational knowledge in facility management, organizational classification, capital projects, Community Advisory Boards and legislative affairs. Participants also take part in group discussions and engage with IDOC’s executive leadership team. Graduates will continue building their leadership skills through a yearlong mentorship with past program participants.

We appreciate their hard work and look forward to seeing their continued impact!

Last month, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management hosted an electronic waste recycling event next to the Statehouse and recycled an incredible 12,540 pounds of e-waste. This represents the largest total weight of e-waste collected at a one-day government center collection event!

If not disposed of properly, electronics contain heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment. Thank you to IDEM for keeping these items out of the regular landfill!
